About Shivchem Agro

Shivchem Agro was incorporated in September 2021 and converted to a public limited company in November 2024. It supplies crop protection products and works on educating farmers in the appropriate use of crop-specific and pest-specific formulations. Its sales and marketing staff advise farmers on sowing, harvesting and crop selection in light of changing weather, and the company continues to add new chemistries to its portfolio. Operations started in north India and are being extended gradually into other regions through a distributor and retailer network.

Company Information

Strengths (from RHP)

  • The portfolio covers several crop protection categories rather than a single formulation.
  • A distribution network of distributors and retailers reaches farmers across its operating states.
  • Field demonstrations put products in front of farmers directly rather than relying on trade promotion.

Key risks (from RHP)

  • Crop protection products require regulatory registration, and approvals govern what can be sold.
  • Product quality and compliance failures in agrochemicals carry regulatory and liability consequences.
  • Distributors and retailers can switch to competing suppliers.
